Tour Meeting 7:20am Tuesday

This applies to all choir students who are going on tour!

-MEETING TUESDAY: 7:20am sharp in the BAND ROOM---do not be late!!!

-You must bring your itinerary and list of rules with you to the meeting.  You were emailed both of these documents

-If you have ANY questions big or small, write them down today and ask them AT THE MEETING.

If you wait until Wednesday to ask an important question, it might be too late!  

*Students not going on tour* You should report to the band room at the start of first period tomorrow and wait until the meeting ends.

Again, please please do not be late to the meeting tomorrow.  It will reflect poorly on you AND the choral department if you are late!

Important Choir Updates: Tour Week!

Students:

I hope you have all had a wonderful, restful, and enjoyable April Vacation!  As we come down the "home stretch" of the school year, we have a very busy few weeks ahead.  I'm going to give you some very important updates and information.  There will be very important tour information being posted soon--please be on the lookout!

Monday: FMA Scholarship Auditions

Tuesday: Chamber Choir Rehearsal 2:00-3:00pm, Vocal Jazz 6:30-8:00pm

Choir Students:

Tour Reminder!
- PLEASE remember to complete and turn in ALL of your Tour Forms (there's two separate forms).  If you need these forms, please let me know ASAP and I will email you a copy.  Turn them in to myself or Mr. Massey as soon as they are completed.

- Remember Chamber Singers Rehearsal Thursday after school (and again the following Thursday)

*New Update*
- Next Tuesday, there will be a special nationally acclaimed guest artist, percussionist Peyton Macdonald here in Foxboro.  He will be running a special after school vocal rehearsal next Tuesday from 2:00-4:00pm.  I would like as many choir students as possible to attend this special rehearsal!

- There will be a FREE concert of his music next Wednesday April 13.  Please attend if possible!

Weekly Updates April 4-8

Singers:

I am very proud of both of your MICCA performances.  All results aside, you carried yourselves with class and performed like an elite, professional ensemble, and I have no regrets with the way we sang any of our musical selections.  

Looking ahead we have four key performances ahead: Tour, Spring Jazz, Spring Chamber, and Pops

There will be no sectionals this week for Concert Choir.  

We will begin looking at some repertoire for Chamber Choir members only outside of rehearsal.  I will have music for you.  In order to prepare for our May concert, I would like to hold rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon 2:00-3:00 for Chamber Choir members. Please try to make it to both rehearsals if possible.  We will do the same next week.

Regular evening mixed vocal jazz rehearsal this week, next week we will aim to have both treble jazz and mixed jazz rehearsing.
